Vivian was born on May 30th, 1923. Vivian's father was Wikter (Victor) Granberg and her mother was Margaret Olivia Hogue. Her paternal grandfather is Granberg; her maternal grandparents were Lauritz Johnson (Louis) Hogue and Allette Jorgina Egge. She had a brother and four sisters, named John V., Elvera (VERA), Helen , Marion and Lillian. She is the third oldest of the six children.
